What is it?

Cosmetic surgery performed to improve the appearance of the nose – also known as rhinoplasty – can be one of the most transformative surgeries.  As the keystone of the face, nasal surgery has a large impact on facial aesthetics.

Why is it done?

Many patients desire a rhinoplasty for some time before deciding to see someone for a consultation. A rhinoplasty can be performed to correct:

  • Nasal hump

  • Crooked nose

  • Flaring nostrils

  • Large nose

  • Asymmetric nose

  • Wide or narrow bridge of nose

  • Breathing

Functional Benefits:

Many people do not realize, however, that rhinoplasty can also improve the function of the nose.   A crooked (“deviated”) septum can cause problems with breathing.  Others have more involved sinus problems that sometimes need to be addressed, and this is something that can be done simultaneously along with a rhinoplasty, as well.
