LIPOSUCTION
What is it?
Liposuction is one of the most common aesthetic procedures performed in the United States. It is the process of removing fat collections from certain areas of the body.
How is it done?
It involves making a small “stab” incision and using suction to remove the fat collections from visible and undesirable areas.
Where is it done?
Many areas of the body may be treated with liposuction. These include:

Abdomen

Flanks (“Love handles”)

Neck
Anesthesia?
Liposuction may be performed with sedation or under general anesthesia and is an outpatient procedure. Patients will be placed in a compression garment right afterwards and will need to wear it for a few weeks.
There are many practitioners who are performing liposuction but not all are plastic surgeons. Dr. Toranto is dual board-certified (Plastic surgery and General surgery) and is trained to perform liposuction in a safe manner and deliver the results his patients want.
